Come discover your inner artist on picturesque Hood Canal at a watercolor retreat. Join Watercolorist Kathy Wood for a weekend of art and beauty. Enjoy: Watercolor workshops, hiking, boating and beachcombing. Gain inspiration and support from fellow creative minds at this lovely beach house getaway. In a relaxing atmosphere, the retreat will not only improve your art, but also rejuvenate your spirit.
Where: Wood-Landing Retreat Center, Lilliwaup, Washington (on HWY 101) 1 hour from Olympia, 1.25 hours from Edmonds/Kingston ferry or Seattle/Bremerton ferry (after ferry ride)
Schedule:
Friday
  • Arive between 1 and 3pm
  • 4:00 Welcome and introductions
  • 4:30 Hors d'oeuvres and wine
  • 6:00 Informal BBQ
  • Free evening for hot tub, reading, journaling, painting
Saturday
  • 8:00 Breakfast
  • 9:00 to 12:30 Plein Air Watercolor Workshop
  • Lunch
  • 1:30 to 3:00 Plein Air Watercolor Workshop
  • 3:00 to 5:00 Free time activities
  • 5:30 Wine tasting by the Walter Dacon Winery and appetizers
  • 6:30 Catered Dinner
  • Free evening for hot tub, reading, journaling (one-on-one coaching available), painting, walking, conversation.
Sunday
  • 8:00 Breakfast
  • 9:30 to 12:30 Watercolor Workshop
  • 1:00 Lunch and depart
