"Art By The Lake" Ski To Sea Art Show and Sale- The Whatcom Art Guild presents it's annual Ski To Sea "Art By The Lake" show of fine arts and crafts. The four day show will take place at the Bloedel Donovan Community Building, 2214 Electric Avenue, Bellingham.
Friday May 25 6pm to 8pm, Public reception demonstration and auction
Saturday May 26 and Sunday May 27 10am to 6pm
Monday May 28 10am to 4pm
The judged show will feature the work of over 50 well-known local artists. Enjoy browsing for fine art originals, prints, photography, 3-dimensional art, hand crafted fabrics, wearable art, pottery, unique crafts, jewelry, garden art, cards and more. The guild is pleased to feature guest artists from Trish Harding's UFO studio. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Friday night at 6pm and watch Trish give a painting demonstration. Trish's painting will be auctioned to the highest bidder at 7pm with proceeds going to fund art scholarships in the community.
There will be a fine art raffle, plant sale, and delicious, irresistible barbecue prepared by "Bare Bones Barbecue."

| The Whatcom Art Guild is working with the "Ski To Sea, More than a Race" executive director, Mel Monkelis to help promote the arts and the Ski To Sea event. The Guild recently held a Ski To Sea art challenge. These entries are now displayed on the official Ski To Sea website. The Whatcom Art Guild is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to supporting the visual arts in Whatcom County Washington since 1964. We meet on the fourth Monday of each month (except for May, August and December) in the lower level meeting room of the Bellingham Public Library at 7 p.m. The library is located at 210 Central Avenue in downtown Bellingham. The purpose of the guild is to
• Organize exhibits in which members may display and sell artworks,
• Provide an environment in which artists can meet and exchange ideas and information,
• Support life-long art education,
• Encourage and promote the visual arts within Whatcom County,
• Establish ties within the county that promote the visual arts, and
• Promote member artists and the Whatcom Art Guild.
